A popular vacation destination in Georgia is Six Flags Over Georgia, an amusement park divided into 12 themed zones and featuring everything from thrill rides to family-friendly live entertainment. It’s perfect for the entire family and located near Atlanta. But don’t think that a visit to the theme park has to come with a hefty hotel bill – there’s a variety of RV parks nearby where you can park your rig and get all the convenience that a hotel offers for a fraction of the nightly rate.
Here’s a look at some of the RV parks near Six Flags Over Georgia:
Jellystone Park (Yogi Bear’s Camp Resorts): Located in Bremen, GA, about a half hour from the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park, Jellystone Park is open year-round and offers RV, big rig lots. Amenities include an eight foot picnic table and a grill with every lot. Wireless Internet and DirecTV are also available. And there’s 90 full hook-ups for RVs. A splash park and swimming pools are also located on the camping grounds.
Banning Mills: This historic RV camping center is a great place to stay if you’re visiting Six Flags Over Georgia and if you want to enjoy all the amenities that the campsite offers, such as ziplining. It offers partial and full hook-ups for your RV and other amenities like a swimming pool, mini golf course and hiking trails. Pets are also allowed on RV sites.
Atlanta Marietta RV Resort: Unlike the previous examples noted here, the Atlanta Marietta RV Resort is more of a low-key RV option in a wooded area 13 miles outside of Atlanta that offers privacy and seclusion for campers. It also features electricity at every site, water and sewer hook-ups and free wireless Internet for campers.
