Hand in hand with Portland’s new ban on the sale of derelict RVs, the city has enacted a new policy which will help RV owners dispose of their old RVs.
The free disposal of old motorhomes in Portland will be in effect on October 29, in an effort to help clean up streets where derelict RVs may have been abandoned.
The city has noticed a trend of RV owners unwilling to pay the cost of disposal abandoning or giving old RVs away, severely impacting city navigation.
Use of the city’s disposal option will be free for RV owners, with the city paying for the expense of the RV disposal. The disposal event is hosted by the Portland Bureau of Transportation, Metro and Portland Police.
