RaeChelle Davis

RaeChelle Davis has a passion for travel and writing. She lives in the Tampa, Florida area with her husband and baby girl.

Prior to moving to the sunshine state, RaeChelle was the evening news anchor at WQAD in the Quad Cities. While there, RaeChelle traveled to Haiti with several local teachers to document their journey to help earthquake victims and start a program to educate and supply Haitian teachers. She produced and anchored an hour-long special that was the first local news program in High Definition in the Quad Cities. RaeChelle received first place from the Illinois News Broadcasters Association for her work.

Leading up to the 2012 Iowa Caucus, RaeChelle was the first to interview Michele Bachmann about the investigation into her small business’ therapy practices. Several news organizations including MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, CNN, and World News with Diane Sawyer aired the interview.

RaeChelle also worked at WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas. She anchored and produced the top-rated weekend newscast. During her time in the Sunflower State, RaeChelle covered the tornado that tore through Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Some of her notable interviews include: Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, and Governor Sam Brownback.

RaeChelle graduated Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University. She had internships at KGTV in San Diego, California and later at KESQ in Palm Desert, California.
After years of chasing breaking news, RaeChelle is looking forward to trying out new recipes, finding new places to write about, and spending quality time with her newest love, Ariella Marie.
