Manatee Cove FAMCAMPis located on the west side of the Patrick AFB runway complex on the bank of the Banana River. It offers 80 sites with hookups and another 40 without. Reservations are not accepted, except for Active Duty.321-494-4787
patrickafb18 After finding your way around the north end of the runway complex, you eventually come to the FAMCAMP office. It is manned 7-days a week during the busy winter months and the staff is courteous and friendly. Ron did a great job explaining how we could move from the dry-camp overflow area to a hookup site after a 3-4 day wait.Date of visit: Jan 2009
patrickafb02  We spent three nights in the overflow area. One more day and we would have had a hookup site, but a personal situation arose that had us heading back to NS Mayport.
patrickafb05  This is the large overflow area.
patrickafb04  The overflow area is the closest part of the campground to the runway complex. A little more annoying is the firing range right beside the campground.
patrickafb06  Storm clouds are rolling in from the west in this picture looking toward the man part of the campground.
 patrickafb07  Sites 59-63.
patrickafb10  Sites 76-80 on the left, 70-75 on the right.
patrickafb11  Sites 1-9 are undoubtedly the most popular in the campground, fronting right on the river.
patrickafb15 The river is just to the right behind sites 10-22; sites 23-33 are on the left. Sites in this area jammed together quite closely.
patrickafb16  Sites 18-22 are on the left; that’s 23 on the right by the stop sign.
patrickafb08 Centrally located is the bathhouse and laundry building. The grassy area nearby serves as the social hub of the campground. One morning a huge free breakfast was served by the Service Squadron, and had we stayed, we could have enjoyed a pig roast and live band one evening.
patrickafb17 Just north of the office is a nice playground and picnic area. This is also an overnight parking spot for late-night arrivals.

Great place to store your RV with full hook ups. Don’t know why this is allowed but it is, and especially if you know the Camp Host. Office knows this is going on and refuses to take any action. ARRIVED HERE ON THE 29TH OF October 2017, there was not many sites available especially for big rigs. Mine is 42 ft.I had a friend turned away as there was nothing available. After a week here I noticed a big rig that appeared not to be occupied, ie, slides not extended and no sewer hooked up up knocked on door several different times of the day AM and PM and got no answer. Thought maybe the camp office needed to do a health and welfare check, so informed them. To my surprise the camp host happened to be present in the office and immediately told me that was his brothers rig. No further explanation. No activity in this spot for over a month. Camp host was parking his extra car there to make it appear someone was in residence.According to campground and Air Force regulations this is not allowed. Contacted the office again they continued to cover up. Contacted the MWR director she was not interested in what I had presented to her or the office and actually called myself and the other camper living near by who also brought to their attention liars. Finally filled out an ICE complaint and a week and a half later camper was removed. There is now another camper in a spot with no one in it. Two weeks now, finally they returned and parked a truck in front of the spot and got in another vehicle and left, have not been back since. Apparently this is a common practice here at this campground, so if you want a winter storage space for your RV come on down. Pathetic!!! Have had a fire ant problem a week after I arrived here, notified the office and a month later, no one has come to take care of still, only excuses as it’s not their problem. Would take care of myself but they have a strict policy on introducing chemicals into the ECO system .
Their is definitely a clique clientele staying here over the winter. oh did I mention the camp host is according to his license plate 06RET. No integrety
