While there are many great locations across the country for RVers to escape to, Blackwater River State Park is one of the best. Located in the northwest part of Florida, this park is a camper’s dream. The river is the main draw of the park, providing the perfect playground for people who enjoy canoes and kayaks. The river is one of the cleanest sand-bottom rivers in the country, also making it an ideal place for swimming and fishing.
The newly renovated camping area provides every luxury an RVer could dream of. For starters, all of the 30 campsites include ample room for tents or an RV up to 45 feet long. They are equipped
with a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. The 20-30-50 amp electric service, RV sewer hookups, and potable water connections will make an RVer want for nothing. Even the children will be pleased because there is an onsite playground to keep them entertained. Plus, there is an upgraded bathroom pavilion in the center of the campsite that provides everyday comforts, such as flushable toilets and hot showers. There are even three campsites that are handicap accessible, because everyone deserves to enjoy the outdoors.
When not hanging out at the campsite, there is plenty of nature to absorb all throughout the park. Blackwater River State Park has 600 acres of gorgeous greenery to explore via nature trails and wildlife viewing sites. The park is also home to one of the oldest and largest Atlantic White Cedars in the country.
In order to camp at the Blackwater River State Park, all that is required is a $20 fee. This low fee includes use of the campsite for the night and unlimited use of the electricity and water. The majestic long leaf pine trees, serene winding river, and ample amenities make Blackwater River State Park the perfect destination.
